Backstage Theatre
We offer FREE Backstage Programmes for young people aged 13-18 who live or learn in Lewisham.
Backstage welcomes young people to the exciting world behind the scenes, exploring lighting, sound, set design, costume, props, stage management, and more. Participants gain practical technical skills while working collaboratively in a real theatre environment. No experience is needed, just enthusiasm!

A 10 week programme for ages 12-17 who are interested in developing Backstage Theatre skills!
Each session will focus on a different discipline, offering exciting opportunities to develop skills in lighting, set, costume and sound design, make up, stage management and more. At the end of the programme the group will join the Backstage Crew for LYT's spring performances!
This programme is for experienced LYT members aged 13-18 ready to take their technical and design skills further.
Learn from industry professionals, lead backstage roles, and build confidence, communication, and leadership while working on real performances.
In order to take part in Backstage Advance, you will need to have completed the Backstage Production programme first.
