We offer FREE training and development opportunities to young artists aged 18-25, to support the next steps in their creative careers.
Our opportunities give young artists the chance to grow their skills, gain paid experience, and build connections within the arts industry.
Kickstart your creative career with LYT’s Facilitator Training Programme.
Over 12 days, you’ll gain practical facilitation skills, build confidence, and get hands-on experience working with young people in a range of community and theatre settings.

This programme is designed for young adults aged 18-25 who want to develop their creative and leadership potential. Participants will receive free training, an accredited AQA facilitation qualification, and mentoring to support career progression.
After completing the programme, you’ll be paid at the London Living Wage to deliver workshops in local schools, with further opportunities to develop your skills through paid placements on LYT projects. Trainee facilitators also join our freelancer pool, giving access to ongoing paid opportunities and a pathway into the creative industries.
Elligibility:
To apply, you must be aged 18-25 and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Living in or local to the borough of Lewisham
- Not currently in education, employment, or training.
- From under represented groups in the arts (e.g. working class, global majority, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+)
- Receiving Universal credit (UC) and Job seekers allowance (JSA)

Culture Curators is a FREE project for 18-25s based in/around Lewisham to gain hands-on experience in producing, curating and events management. Collaborating with other young creatives you will design and deliver an event that celebrates and showcases young talent in our community.
